Happy Mother’s Day

There is only so much we can do as individuals in an extremely corrupt national and international power structure.  The biggest thing we can do is spend our money/labor within our community amongst our neighbors.  As much as the elite try to suck up the wealth and power, the masses can stop them if we are able to unite against the vampires sucking us dry while simultaneously destroying the earth we need to survive.  One way to fight back and empower yourself is to form a sustainable living network.  Otherwise, we all have to resort to every man for himself thinking, which results in people viewing each other as adversaries rather than collaborators.  Ideas aren’t spawned in isolation; humankind didn’t evolve to this present state without cooperation.  We still have tribes today, but the accelerating threats to our environment demand that all come together and agree to certain standards to have any chance to figure out the complex issue of supporting 6.5 billion plus and growing earth population.

Soon there will be no choice but to confront the ugly consumption beast threatening humankind’s existence on this planet.  There is always the chance we are taken out by an asteroid, but currently we are facing an increasingly inhabitable planet as we consume more resources without considering that for every action there is a reaction.  I have a longer piece about the oil rig disaster in the Gulf that isn’t finished.  The previous words entered with urgency tonight so I felt compelled to dictate them.  At times, all the thoughts that pour in become too much.  I feel as if I’m trapped within a Russian existentialist novel.  Now that the weather is finally turning around, I am able to escape the overactive mind by getting out and enjoying the sunset.  Yesterday, I shot video, photos, and read some Taoism.  There are few ways to spend a Friday afternoon more serenely.

Anyhow, Happy Mother’s Day.  The world needs more feminine energy.  Mother’s Day was initially conceived as a movement to empower women to shape society through politics (  Please mothers, the assholes who run governments need you to speak up and say you won’t allow your sons and daughters to die for the profits of the defense industry.  The only way for humankind to survive is if there is a balance between male and female energy.  Otherwise, we have a situation like we are in today where we fight needless wars and pollute the very environment we are dependent on with the misguided belief that we control nature and can solve every problem we encounter/create.

“We will not have great questions decided by irrelevant agencies,
Our husbands will not come to us, reeking with carnage, for caresses and applause.
Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn
All that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience.
We, the women of one country, will be too tender of those of another country
To allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs.”
