Health

Posted in Art, Cats, Photos with tags , on October 16, 2010 by trapperKeeper

After some allergic issue, Stella is back to normal health.  Though I have been busy than usual with work, she’s had a few opportunities to chill outside.  So far, this fall has seen less rain and gray than expected.  Hopefully, it will persist for a little while longer allowing me to enjoy a pleasant stroll through the arboretum.

Face to Face (Getting Along)

Posted in Cats, Photos on July 12, 2010 by trapperKeeper

The feline approach of saying hello is more adorable but less funny than the dog butt sniff.  The photo pile never seems to get smaller, but I did make some progress today.  Much of the work is identifying and tossing out the many truly inferior attempts.  Photography, like hitting a baseball, is an exercise where there is much more failure than success.  Though if you are able to learn from mistakes, failure isn’t an end but rather just a step towards success.  Searching for perspectives in photography is good practice for seeing the world and yourself from different angles.  Practicing detachment isn’t possible if you don’t know how to get out of the way.
