I know I have been not following through on my stated goals when it comes to recent blogging.  After a hella busy ten days of work, I finally had two days off in a row.  Despite, or maybe because of, the brutal heat, the two days off have been two of the greatest days of my recent life.  Yesterday, was one of the best days period of my life.  The glacier at Lake Serene cleansed my mind, body, and spirit.  I also got a lot of photographs taken.  Plus, I took some more pictures today.  The clouds have been smiling down at me.  I have been running them through photoshop and will be throwing up some picture posts soon.  Some unkut funk is coming too, I swear.  I need at least one more me.  And if you can, pray to St. Anthony for me.  I cannot find my cellphone.

I’ve been incredibly busy with work.  When not working, I am usually working on music if I’m not kickin’ it w/ a few friends, which is often music related.  As a result, my photography and blogging have been slacking.  Music making is getting deeper.  A label is interested in releasing on one my yet unfinished songs, although the final mix is almost done.  After that’s finished and mastered, “OM” will be ready.  I am giving myself three weeks for the final product to be finished considering how much work I have coming up and my friend finding time to master it.   In addition to “OM,” I have been working on a couple of mixes, playing my new gear, and updating older ideas, all  around work and laundry and the daily errands of life.  Still, I hope to have some posts up soon.  Despite my heavy work load next week, I still have two days off and my laundry is settled for a while.  Having to bus offsite to launder is a time killer.

A USB record player is arriving Monday, so I plan to start uploading some vinyl.  I also hope to have a mix ready within 10 days.  My next week is hella busy (52 hours of work), so it won’t be finished anytime real soon, but I have around 1o minutes worked out as of now.  I have Monday off, so there will be a P-Funk post coming.  It’s time to sever the human-computer union for now.

Here is a pleasing twelve-incher.  If you desire a funky good time and don’t recognize the song title or the above artwork, download it on faith.  I personally guarantee it will be good to your earhole.

Happy Parliafunkadelicment Thangday!

My writing has been slacking as work has immensely increased.  Music making and seeing a few peeps has taken up most other time.  There are always too many ideas and not enough time.  Still, I have some photos to put up.  I don’t have too much new music.  Musically, I’ve been busy learning the Kaossilator and jamming w/ a friend.  But my new purchases should make beat making easier and definitely looser.  Instead of having to arrange everything in ableton, I now have the ability to play beats into ableton and manipulate within ableton through touch pads.

Huhzah!  I still haven’t exactly figured out the layout, but it is getting close.  Once figured out, the new arrangement will allow for beats to be made quicker and easier.  Touch pads are the shit.  Anyhow, I have been slacking on posts.  At the same time, I haven’t been listening to as much music as before.  Still, I have some P-Funk for you.  I am working on a funky mix (got plenty of tracks on the backburner), we’ll see when I finish it.

A few nights ago, after a long ass session of work I came home fairly tired.  A little chill time and some live P-Funk soon had me worked up.  Here are the grooves that reinvigorated my body and soul.  Anyone who says music isn’t medicine hasn’t heard the Funk.  Glenn gets spine-tingling, tear-inducing soulful on the Mothership calldown.  Don’t fake the funk or your nose will grow.
